Sept 2019 – We stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. We ate in their outdoor garden and enjoyed excellent food and service.
We opted to eat in their small outdoor garden area. The center of the garden is dominated by a huge tree. The outdoor seating is quiet.
We ordered potstickers as an appetizer. They ended up coming with our dinner. That wasn’t a big deal. The potstickers were a good choice. They are made with Pork and Oriental Vegetables with a soy, ginger, lime and sesame sauce. You have a choice of fried or steamed. We opted for fried. They also include pickled onions which were interesting.
My Girlfriend chose the Prosciutto Flatbread made with Brie Cheese, prosciutto, caramelized onions, vinaigrette and goat cheese.
I went with the Shepherd’s Pie. That was made with braised short rib, peas, carrots and onions in a red wine reduction and, of course, a mashed potato topping with Locatelli thrown in for good measure. They claim that it contains ‘no actual shepherds’. That reminds me of the line in the Addams Family where Wednesday asks if the Girl Scout Cookies contain Girl Scouts.
The photo doesn’t do the dish justice. It was delicious.
There is a good deal of parking available in the municipal parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. See their site for more information.
