We visited the Wycombe Publik House in March 2018 for dinner. Our overall impression was that the restaurant provides great food, great service in a cozy atmosphere.
Update – Sept 2023
The Wycombe Publik House (or Wycombe Public House) is now the Wycombe House. We have not visited the restaurant under the new management yet. For more information see the Wycombe House site.
Review of the Wycombe Publik House (The old management)
We arrived around 530 on a Saturday. There was plenty of seating available. Parking was not a problem as there is a large lot. We split a house salad. They have a good beer selection. The wine selection is a little more limited. I ordered a burger that was the special for the day. It consisted of artisan bread, a burger and, prosciutto. Prosciutto is salty so I expected that. It was honestly one of the better burgers I’ve had in a while. I added some onion rings. My girlfriend asked for a chicken cheesesteak. The version on the menu listed buffalo sauce which she didn’t want. No problem, they made it without the buffalo sauce.
The total tab with a Merlot and Stella came to 48.00. It is definitely on our list of places to revisit. See the Wycombe Publik House site for more information.
The restaurant has a long history going back to the late 1800’s. The New Hope Ivyland Railroad runs on the other side of Mill Creek Road. The Wycombe Train station is just down the road at the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Township Line Road.
